ABSTRACT
The problems of belt conveying in the rock minerals mines have been presented. The key parameters of conveyor belts used in the domestic mines operating conditions have been characterized. The main focus has been put onto the most expensive element of a conveyor – a belt and the experience gained from the use conveyor belts have been presented. The rules of the proper management of conveyor belts maintenance as well as the methods of verification of the most important operational parameters of belts that have the impact on the durability and reliability of their use on conveyors have been described.
