ABSTRACT
Numerous social conflicts connected with mineral resources development were registered in the last period, especially in the aggregate branch. Mass media play an important part in these conflicts. Ways of working of different kinds of media, problems due to publisher’s aspirations to riches, limitations of objective reporting etc. were described in this paper. Authors call attention to necessity of realization by mining companies (major as well as small) appropriate public relations strategy, particularly in situations of crisis.
