The shape of this infrastructure needs to support economic development, which occurs through an increase in the size and number of businesses that generate jobs and income of local governments and the State Treasury. At the end of January 2016 it was carried out approx. 41% of the planned target length of motorway and expressway. In completed tenders were selected contractors for the construction of approx. 1180 km of roads (15%). Approx. 730 km of roads (9%) were covered by a tender processes. The remaining 35% of the length of roads is to build in future years, of which 12% have an important environmental decision, and for roads with a length of approx. 1850 km (23%), such a decision has not been issued. Based on data on the completed tender procedures and the analysis of nearly 140 tenders, a detailed construction schedule was developed, in the years 2016 to 2021, covering a total of approx. 1900 km of expressways and highways. Road construction, in particular new investments are one of the most important markets for many construction materials, including but not limited aggregates. Developed schedule may constitute an important source of information on the potential demand for aggregates.
