ABSTRACT
The paper presents a detailed analysis of reserve base of sand and gravel deposits in the north-eastern Poland. The counties with the greatest volume of reserves in developed and undeveloped deposits of the aggregates in the Podlaskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie and Mazowieckie voivodeships were indicated. The quality of the aggregates’ deposits from various regions was characterized and the major directions of raw material utilization were given. In the further part of paper, the scope of the planned and being under construction road investments in the north-eastern Poland were discussed. Moreover, the counties considered as potential suppliers of natural aggregates for the mentioned investments were indicated.
